Video of 2023 Conservation Winter Camp #1: 5 Insider Tips for Developing a Land Plan

Nearly 100 participants virtually attended our first-ever Winter Conservation Camp on Feb. 2, 2023, where the topic was Spark Your Conservation Dream: 5 Insider Tips for Developing a Land Plan. We broke the ice with a cocktail demonstration by Siren Shrubs co-owner Mindy McCord, who is a real pro at drink demos! Find the recipe for her Hot Toddy here.

The webinar was structured so 2 farmer storytellers and 3 Pheasants Forever farm bill biologists each gave an insider tip for successful conservation planning. All of the presenters were able to answer chat questions live. You can see their tips below, or re-watch the entire hour-long webinar here.

We really enjoyed "seeing" everyone after a few months break from events. We're having another Zoom Winter Conservation Camp on March 2 before our Spring in-person events get rolling in April. The topic of this lunch webinar is Caring for Your Land and Yourself: Balancing Conservation and our Chaotic Lives. RSVP here.

For this webinar we're delighted to be welcoming back Chris Frakes, of Farm Well Wisconsin, who lead several mental health support trainings for us last winter. We know that mental health stress is a concern for our participants, and that women carry a lot of the wellness weight for their communities and families. Chris will be sharing some of the resources that are available to us in Wisconsin, and we'll hear from some terrific farmer storytellers about their wellness journeys.
